Control my stepping. Set and reset my pace. 
Weak leading is not soft leading. Incomplete leading is not leading. 
It’s truth that I must seek back to my partner but should I if there’s no clear leading?
If no leading no follow. 
It is not choreography. 
Should I seek without a leading? How much independent seeking I must do on my own? 
Some female leads have develop their own leading techniques that seem to work. I can adjust to different leading techniques but it must be clear. Leave no room for guessing. 
A good frame is rule 101. Never forget that. Don’t let anybody tell you different. 
So rescue 101 is, what to do in case of weak and incomplete leading? Open your eyes and latch on to your partner. The case of the over compensating follower. Who doesn’t like a follower that fixes all the leading mistakes?
